Q: When is payment due?
A: Payment is due in full at the time of the contract signing, before the portrait session begins.
Q: What should I/We wear for group and family photo's?
A: Usually soft, solid colors work best. But a specific themes and patterns work well too. Be mindful that a lot of neon reds/oranges, neon yellows and greens can create a color cast to your skin tone... Keep that in mind as you select your outfits. These are just suggestions. If you have something you love and want to wear, by all means wear it! This is about you and I want you to love your portraits.
Q: What should I expect at a high school senior session?
A: Bring the outfits allotted per your package. Bring any props or items that represent you as the awesome high school senior you are! Note that not all outdoor locations havea changing facility.
Q: Before you photograph my newborn, do you get flu shots and have you gotten the Pertussis/Whooping cough vaccination?
A: YES!!
Q: What should I expect at a Newborn Shoot?
A: The best time to get newborn portraits is in the first two weeks of life. But honestly, the sooner the better really. Newborns only stay in that deep sleeping, curled up ball that is so precious to capture in photo's in for a short time. The older they get, the more likely they are to stay awake, uncurl and fidget in that oh so adorable baby way. I strive to keep it as quiet and peacful as I can during the shoot. I do have wraps, accessories and knitted props for baby per package allottment. Locations vary depending on weather and availability. I also can come to you if you'd like to shoot the photographs at home. Make sure baby is fed as close to session time as possible. It's also a good idea to try and keep the baby awake for as long as you can before the session so they will be ready fall fast asleep during the shoot. A well fed and sleepy baby is usually a happy and aggreable baby! NEWBORN SHOOTS CAN LAST 3-5 HOURS depending on how baby is cooperating. But don't worry and don't stress. This is my job, I love doing this and I'm prepared for a fussy or happy baby. :-)
Q: Do you print your portraits?
A: Yes. I use a professional, high quality studio should you the client choose me for printing services. Printing prices are not reflected in package prices.
Q: What if I don't like the quality of the printed picture from the USB Flash Drive?
A: The quality of the print depends on where you choose to have it printed and is the responsibilty of the company you've chosen to print your photographs. A reputible and professional printing company will do everything they can to make it look great! Not every company prints the same. I'll do my best to help you should you have issues printing.
Q: Do you have an indoor studio?
A: Yes. An in home studio set up.
Q: Things to keep in mind?
A: There may not always be a suitable place to change your clothes on outdoor location shoots. If you wear make-up, wear it a little heavier than normal so it will show up in the picture. It my feel caked on but won't appear so in most photo's. Bring any and all props, accessories and items you feel represent yourself and you want represented in a photograph. However NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL or WEAPONS will permitted at my shoots. Nor will any explicit sexual content be photographed. I retain the right to choose what I feel comfortable with and what is appropriate for photographing at my shoots. Q: How does your editing process work?
A: After the session, I upload my photo's and begin to go through the shots. I remove all test shots, blurry pictures, pictures with closed eyes, movement etc. Anything that takes away from a great picture, I will not keep or edit test shots and unflattering photo's. I will pick out the best quality shots to edit and present to you.
Q: Can I bring my pet to be photographed?
A: As long as your pet is fully vaccinated by Indiana State Law and regulations, is comfortable around human beings, is in good health and tempermant, is permitted in the chosen location and is in NO WAY aggressive. I am not responsible for damage, injury or distress to your pet. YOU ARE responsible for your pet at all times and anything your pet might do during a session causing damage, injury or harm to equipment, props, other animals and people.
